Developed by Cath Lab staff to fill a gap in existing radiation protection, with applications also in theatres, radiology, medical imaging and GI departments, The Rad-Guard provides radiation protection for nurses that need to administer drugs at the IV pole without taking up additional floor space. This provides peace of mind not only for the nurse but also for the physician who may be concerned about the nurse’s proximity to scatter radiation.
The Rad-Guard attaches quickly to existing IV poles and was designed with easy pump accessibility in mind.

The feet, on medical-grade caster wheels, easily pass underneath the operating table, and with the Terminator Sterile Drapes, provides unimpeded patient access. You won’t need to abandon the radiation protection shield to get better access to the workspace.
The Terminator XR comes with a special protective vest designed to be worn when using the barrier. The vest design protects the axillary lymph nodes and thyroid whilst keeping unnecessary weight on the body to a minimum. Combined with the barrier, personnel can avoid the body fatigue associated with wearing traditional style apparel for long and complex cases.

These Mobile Barriers are fitted with Barrier Safe Glass – laminated, safety, radiation shielding glass. The glass has several advantages over lead acrylic. It has better light transmission giving you superior visual clarity and has greater resistance to scratching.
The safety glass exceeds ANSI Z97.1-1984 and 16 CFR 1201 Cat II requirements.
The Regular model has a 24″ x 30″ window, and the Deluxe model has a 48″ x 30″ window.
