The innovative Cardio-TRAP® is now available in Australia through Uniqa Medical. The patented trans-radial access platform provides an all in one system to perform left or right radial, or femoral, procedures comfortably from the right side of the table.
The full Cardio-TRAP package consists of the following components:
The Base Board can be combined with any one, two or all three attached components.
The Base Board stays attached to the table under the mattress to enable quick and easy set up, which can decrease delays in urgent cases.
The Left Arm Board provides a stable surface to gain left radial access, before the patient’s left arm is positioned and the Left Radial Base is attached.
The Left Radial Base provides stability and stops the arm drift that can occur with the use of makeshift support structures such as towels, whilst also limiting the loss of wire and catheter positioning.
The Right Radial Base provides an elevated platform to keep the patient’s arm level, and as a result operator radiation exposure can be reduced by an additional 21% due to the lower table position that can be achieved. It also provides ample work space for instruments.
The Shield contains 1.0mm of pure lead foil and is proven to reduce operator head exposure to scatter radiation by 64%. The shield also acts as a barrier between the patient’s right arm/hand and the sterile field.
